It takes willpower to set aside a desire to be more then just friends with a really attractive girl. If you don't like their personalities, then it would be hard to even be their friend though,. Being just friends with a really... really cute girl.

I think it's possible to befriend attractive women. However, the temptation to hit on her might be present depending on your personality. I have a bunch of attractive friends and the only reason I haven't hit on most of them is because they're my ex-girlfriends or they're dating someone.
All of my friends that were girls were hot. It only makes sense.
I think ''A man can never be 'just friends' with a woman'' is just people excusing themselves for their own lack of self-discipline. I guess I have many ''attractive'' girls as friends but I'm not imagining myself in bed with them 24/7.

I'm friends with a couple of cute girls, and just because I'm in a relationship with a great woman a the moment doesn't stop my body from wanting to plow each and every one of them.
It's natural, but you just push those thoughts aside.

If they weren't my then-GF's friends/roommates, then I always ended up either dating them or hooking-up with them. I miss that about college.
I work with a ton of attractive girls. They all happen to be my friends as well.Now the thing is that I'm married. Talk about containing myself.
If im being honest, i have a few very attractive female friends and of course it is difficult to get over the whole deal of being 'just friends'. Fortunately, I also have a very attractive girlfriend, so it makes friendships between anyone who I find attractive a whole lot easier to deal with, as long as my girlfriend doesn't make too many snide remarks if i spend time with them, all of which are said jokingly of course!If your without a girlfriend, then I'd find it incredibly difficult. I find alot of my friends, only attempt to befriend girls just to get with them at a later date.. is a complicated cycle, but I always find that if they're a close friend, anything further can ruin a brilliant friendship further along the line.

Regardless of if you haven't acted on it, you've thought something sexual about every single one of your female friends, assuming they are attractive. If you haven't, you are lying. It's just how we're hardwired, not really your fault. Even if you would never actually flirt with them, you'll still treat them differently than you would treat one of your close male friends.
Now if the girl is pretty frumpy/ugly, and isn't even remotely physically attractive to you, then that's a different story. Because of her looks, you would see her as ''One of the guys'' so to speak, and would be able to treat her the same as you would treat any of your male friends.
