Should prostitution be legal?

I'm doing a paper for it in school and I need some different viewpoints on it. I'm supposed to choose a side, and then disprove 2 peoples arguments against it.So I wanna see what some people say to get some ideas :)Should prostitution be legal?

Nope. I think it's wrong, and causes people problems such as aruinedmarriage, STDs, etc.
Yep, as long as it's regulated. Sort of like licenses for brothels.

Yes and no. No because prostitution is often tied with other increases in crime. Yes, because it will allow the services to be better monitored, i.e., STD testing, etc.
In brothels where it can be regulated.
Yes, 1) It's a victimless ''crime'', I'm sure the police has more important things to worry about, 2) They'd pay taxes, 3) You'd get rid of the scumbag pimps.

Yes, but like many said only in brothels that are regulated...those who worry about disease, if you make places available so people can go to them and not go to prostitues on the streets, and if these places are regulated, you'd probably see a decline in STDs.
