The reason i ask this random question is because I was forced to switch from Metro, unlimited minutes and texting, to Verizon, everythings limited. So thanks to the switch i have to pay an extra 15 dollars a month to get 1500 text messages or pay 40 cents each message incoming or outgoing. I have to text and while i do call, i only call if the message wont fit in the 160 character boundary. So if you had the option, which would you prefer?Do You Prefer Texting Or Calling?
Texting if it's something really brief, calling if I'm telling them something that actually requires discussion. But I'd obviously always go with texting if I was in a situation where it was inappropriate for me to sit there yapping on my cell.Edit: You mean if I could only go with one or the other? Calling. Definitely.Do You Prefer Texting Or Calling?
I have verizon and for the extra 15 bucks I have unlimited texting. Not sure why you are still limited. Anyhow, I like texting in some instances, but sometimes its not practical if you have allot to say, etc.
I prefer texting over calling.
Texting if it's not worth an entire conversation.
Texting - as much as people tell me they think I have a good phone voice, I honestly think I sound like a sleepy stoner...
I text if I think it's inappropriate to call or unnecesary, other than that I call.
I used to prefer call, but after owning a BB, I prefer texting. But as someone else mentioned, if I really want to have a discussion, I just call people.
If I ever use my cell phone, it is to call someone, not to text. I never got into texting.
Depends on what needs to be said. Single thoughts, requests or acknowledgements are best sent by text. When you need to communicate for a longer period of time, or in substantial detail, it is better to call. I prefer a human voice but nothing can beat the convenience of a text message.
I prefer texting because conversations on the phone can really drag on
Texting, unless I have a lot to say.
I usually text my friends if they wanna go do something, if they do then I call them to iron out the details.
i would text for short answer and call for long conversations
I prefer calling. I like hearing peoples voices.
Texting. I'm not one for long conversations.

Hey nice to see an old poster, it's me Crystalfox from a while back I don't know if you remember.
Texting if I'm just talking with people, nothing important. Calling if there's something specific/complicated I need to talk about
I usually prefer to text because I hate talking on the phone. I will call someone if I want to arrange plans with them or something, but I prefer to text. I am not one of those people who just sits around and texts all day, though. When I'm out with people, I rarely ever take out my phone to text. I do have some manners.
