Dude, Teh Gladiator was an excellent movie but I don't think one single guy could beat 300 mens and a king. Yeah Rambo 4 was good it didn't suck like the others and Starship Troopers too. Most Underrated Films of all Time?
Speed Racer
Jacob's Ladder doesn't really get talked about all that much, I thought that was a very well done film.

Aye, I loved that one.
I'll add Donnie Darko.

Stardust and LA Confidential come to mind. Good movies but you never hear about them. (And didn't Gladiator win an Oscar????)
The Dark Knight. OH, you said ''UNDER-rated''
I had never heard Eternal Sunshine of a Spotless Mind spoken of much before and I enjoyed it greatly.
drugstore cowboy.

Wait, how the hell do you judge the quality of a movie? The only thing 300 beats Gladiator at is special effects...
For me it's 'The Magnificent Seven', being as it's the last movie I've seen and I never hear anybody talk about it. :P
Gladiator, LA Confidential, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Donnie Darko, and The Big Lebowski are praised greatly.
The Evil Dead films are very highy rated, just look on IMDB.A lot of the better horror films are underrated simply because they aren't given a chance at the box office or by reviewers, who tend to pre-judge them. That being said, a lot of horror films are overrated as well, like most slashers and the Saw/Hostel totrure porn movies.(it's all about Braindead, btw. Goriest movie ever made without being gratuitous)

The drug testing premise wasn't as good as it could have been (insanity would be a better cause of the terrifying visions, IMO), but Tim Robbins was great. I always remember the part where he thinks he sees his ghost kid and then that guy's spinning head pops out from nowhere. Very scary.

|yea, I googled it. Gladiator definitely won five Oscars in 2001. I would hardly call that underrated.
Any action movie. I'm sick of the film snobs at the academy giving awards to movies that half the people on earth would fall asleep too in the first five minutes.

I wouldn't take the drugs idea as the definitive answer if I were you. Jacob only ever hears about that while he is hallucinating, so it doesn't really hold much weight. The whole movie barring the Vietnam scenes is really just his dying hallucination. The creatures and visions that Jacob sees are there to help him let go of his old life and move on to the next, as shown in the scene where he go up the staircase (The Ladder) towards a bright light towards the film's end.
300 is the best. gladiator is sick too. superman was pretty underratted. i don't know why.
